Abstract

This study investigated the GSCM effect on the performance of export by also seeing its mediating influence on the environmental performance of the textile sector of Pakistan. The data has been gathered by means of the questionnaire with a five point’s Likert scale from which a total of 350 responses are collected from the textile sector of Pakistan. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The Findings showed that there is a significant relation among the GSCM, export performance and environmental performance. Hence, green practices can essentially help to enhance the environmental and export performance of textile industry Moreover, export performance can also be increased it companies focus on environmentally friendly measures.  The findings of the study are essentially contributing to explaining the role of GSC practices on export and environmental performance in the textile industry. By applying these practices, the textile industry of Pakistan can place significant changes in increasing its export performance and revenues.
